THANK YOU to all who donated their time and efforts
to making the December 20 'Local & Asian Dinner with
Godzilla and Friends' a big success. In all, there were
40 businesses and other individuals who collaborated for the Dinner:
14 farms, 10 restaurants, 7 other businesses and 9 other individuals.
In spite of hazardous road conditions, 75 people attended the
event, at America's Best Inn on Putney Road - facilities graciously
donated by proprietor Tina Vaidya - with enough money raised to
match the state award from the Department of Marketing and Tourism
for out-of-state marketing for the Vermont Samurai Kaiju Festival
(to be held the weekend after Labor Day, September 5-6-7, 2008
to attract visitors to Vermont nationwide and even from abroad.
