| HOW
TO SUPPORT RELIEF EFFORTS IN MYANMAR (BURMA) AND SICHUAN PROVINCE, CHINA |

| The
orange line shows the approximate path of the Cyclone Nargis which started
in late April in the Indian Ocean, then moved east to Myanmar (Burma)
making landfall May 2, 2008. The lighter orange area shows the approximate
extent of flooding and destruction. The actual area is probably far greater.
The path of the cyclone went right through the largest city of Yangon.
As of 5/31/08, more than 134,000 have died or are missing and 2.4 million
survivors are dealing with hunger and homelessness. |

The
orange spiral shows the approximate area of the devastation caused by
the earthquake, May 12, starting at 2:28 pm, near the town of Dujiangyan,
with many severe and widespread aftershocks. The area is heavily populated,
entire towns were flattened, and about 400 dams were damaged by the quake,
7.9 in magnitude. As of 5/26/08, at least 60,000 people have died, about
23,000 still missing, 300,000 injured, and several million left homeless.
Many
children died in their schools that collapsed in the earthquake. |
